The Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium, located in Fort Myers, is a non-profit environmental educational organization. On over 100 acres, Calusa Nature Center features a museum, three nature trails, a planetarium, and butterfly and bird aviaries. Our goal at The Calusa Nature Center is to connect the people of Southwest Florida with nature! Visitors at Calusa Nature Center learn about Southwest Florida’s natural history, environment, and native plants and animals. We offer daily educational programs and regularly scheduled events for all ages! Our planetarium also hosts laser shows featuring the music of Pink Floyd, The Beatles, and more!
Lakes Regional Park, located in Fort Myers, is a 279 acre facility that features walking tours, a community garden, playgrounds, walking trails, and much more! Since 1984, Lakes Regional Park has been an important part of Lee County. Lakes Regional provides a variety of recreational opportunities for visitors including outdoor fitness equipment, fishing and paddle-boarding, and even miniature train rides!
