The Florida Messenger would like to welcome our newest addition Cabbage Key to tour directory. Cabbage Key discover what old Florida is all about. Cabbage Key offers one hundred acres of tropical vegetation surrounding the historic restaurant, inn and rental cottages on the island. A panoramic view of Pine Island Sound can be viewed right from the front porch of Cabbage Key’s open-aired restaurant situated atop a thirty-eight-foot Indian shell mound. There are no cars on Cabbage Key, not even a paved road. You will find winding nature trails, romantic picturesque views and relaxation.
Our secluded island getaway offers visitors an atmosphere of friendly hospitality and old Florida vacation relaxation, totally void of commercialization. Cabbage Key’s resort guests enjoy each other’s company, nature, fishing, shelling on nearby deserted beaches, reading, writing, painting, boating, and — most of all — quiet and tranquility.
